Breakfast, anyone?

It’s the first weekend in July, so it must be time for a Cardiff Bay favourite…. the Cardiff International Food Festival (2023). The layout and lineup look very familiar and have been documented here before.

But, this time, I discovered it’s worth taking an early Sunday morning stroll before the festival opens up. Something ‘down the docks’ seems worth being aware of every weekend.

On the short pier that housed the Bosphoros Turkish restaurant many years ago, Coffee Co. has been quietly building an interesting presence in recent years. Now, I can add a recommendation for a hearty breakfast to accompany your cappuccino… while of course reading the Observer newspaper!

Until we speak again, a stroll back along the Dock feeder canal suggests the future is truly aromatic and crispy!

  1. I’m craving breakfast again! We got back from Argentina over a week ago and we were craving an American breakfast. When our heat wave went away, we ventured out to a diner and we really enjoyed them. We can’t tell if they changed hands but we enjoyed our food more than normal. It’s also been a few years since we at Offshore diner. I got a swiss cheese omelette with turkey sausage patties, hash browns, grits, and whole wheat toast. Vic got everything the same except a meat omelette but I don’t remember what was in it.

The baby duckies are cute! We saw a goose once with 12 babies in Stanley Park in Vancouver years ago. We never knew they could have so many.

I’m not sure what happened but I’ve been working on posts about our Argentina trip. I haven’t felt like writing in years. I got home and a few days later felt like writing again. Guessing I needed to be around new energy and hang out with my friend.

Hope you’re having a food summer. Definitely looks yummy!
